We start on the lead, at a distance, and let the animal decide when it wants us closer. Nothing is asked in the first few minutes, which is usually what makes the rest work. Bring the treats it actually wants rather than the ones it tolerates, and a toy that squeaks.
Swimming and mud go at the end, once the frames that need a dry coat are safely done. You receive the edited set with the coat corrected properly, which matters most on black dogs.

The studio sits at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, roughly 7 miles by road from Radlett. Pet sessions there are booked ahead so the room is quiet when you arrive, and passport photos, printing, framing, restoration and scanning are also handled on site. Studio pet sittings can be booked from 10:30 to 18:00 Monday to Saturday and from 13:00 to 18:00 on Sundays; if your dog does better first thing, ask about the earliest slot of the day.
