Serving Ruislip Manor
Ruislip Manor is a residential Hillingdon suburb. Sikh families throughout Ruislip, South Ruislip trust us with their celebrations, large and small. Whether your Anand Karaj is in Ruislip Manor itself or elsewhere across Greater London, we plan the day around your venues.
We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the Anand Karaj as faithfully as the bhangra. We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind each shabad the ragis sing. We bring a long lens and a light touch, so the four laavan are captured from the sides of the gurdwara at a respectful distance.
Much of our work takes us across Greater London; Ruislip Manor, a residential Hillingdon suburb, and the towns around it, including Ruislip, South Ruislip, are very familiar to us. We also cover nearby Ruislip and South Ruislip. Ruislip Manor and the towns around it offer venues such as Manor Farm and Winston Churchill Hall, all familiar to us.
A residential Hillingdon suburb of interwar housing between Ruislip and Eastcote. Served by Ruislip Manor station on both the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. We often take couples to Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve, ancient woodland close to the north for a few quiet portraits, and Manor Farm and its medieval Great Barn nearby, a designated heritage site is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
A sneak preview of the Anand Karaj soon after the wedding, with your full gallery to follow.
A handful of timeless portraits taken away from the darbar sahib, amid the celebration.
Hand-finished albums that hold the whole story of your Anand Karaj and every event around it.
Every tradition
We work discreetly at the back and the sides of the darbar sahib, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed. We are mindful of gurdwara etiquette throughout, never turning our back to the Guru Granth Sahib. As the ragis sing each laav, the couple walk slowly around the Guru Granth Sahib, and we photograph it quietly from the side.
The doli, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. The maiyan, when turmeric is applied, is full of colour and play, and often holds the warmest moments. We document the sagai and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us.

The whole celebration
We tailor the hours to your events, whether it is one key day or a long weekend of celebrations. We can join you for a single event or follow the whole journey from the very first ritual.
On the wedding day, the milni, the Anand Karaj and the four laavan build to the doli and the reception. The best galleries are spread evenly across the day, not saved for the laavan alone.
Why choose us
Decades of gurdwara weddings mean we read the day instinctively and never miss the milni or the doli. A thousand weddings in, we still find every Anand Karaj unique, and photograph it that way.
From our London base, Ruislip Manor and the gurdwaras of Greater London are an easy, familiar journey. We factor in the early gurdwara timings and the milni carefully, so we are always in position before the four laavan.

Where we travel
From London we reach Ruislip Manor easily, and we know the darbar sahib and langar halls of Greater London well. We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us to the gurdwaras and jaggo nights of London and the surrounding area.

Good to know
Yes. We know the four laavan well, and understand that the couple circle the Guru Granth Sahib once for each hymn. We photograph every round quietly from a respectful distance.
Yes. Alongside your edited digital gallery we design a hand-finished, fine-art album, so the whole story of your celebration is held in something to pass down.
Very. We photograph the four laavan and the prayers from a respectful distance with quiet, long-lens work, seated with the sangat, so the Anand Karaj is never disturbed.
Yes, and it is one of our favourite events. We capture the music, the dancing and the candlelit pots, with all of the energy the jaggo brings.
Sikh wedding dates and popular gurdwaras book up well ahead, so we recommend enquiring as early as you can. Tell us your wedding date and we will confirm availability straight away.
