Nobody should feel a photographer standing behind them at that point.

How do you photograph inside a mosque or masjid?+

Available light only, from one agreed spot, with a quiet shutter and no flash whatsoever. Footwear and dress follow whatever the building expects of any visitor. If a section is closed to us, it stays closed and nothing is argued.

What if you have never worked at our venue before?+

Usual situation, and not a problem. Arriving early, walking every room, locating windows and awkward corners before any guest does is standard practice. Twenty careful minutes in a building beats a half-remembered one every time.
