For portraits away from the celebration, Wandsworth Common, a large open green with woodland and lakes works beautifully, and The restored Battersea Power Station on the borough's riverfront adds a real sense of place.

The exchange of consent and the joining of the two families is captured as it happens. The ijab-e-qubool, the proposal and acceptance said three times, seals the marriage, and we capture it with care. We anticipate the reading of the vows and the signing of the contract, so nothing is missed.

We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the formal parts of the day. We photograph the sanchaq and the exchange of gifts between the families with all of their warmth. The reception and walima are the joyful finale, with speeches, family and dancing.
