Each building hands over light of its own character, and what a family keeps tends to be what nobody scheduled: a kitchen at midnight, a car with its doors open, a cousin asleep across two chairs. Attention is budgeted for those gaps on purpose. A week of this kind lives in them, and they never come round again.

Regularly. The useful habit is simple: locate the dhol players and the DJ early on and agree who gives way to whom. Nearly every clash on a wedding floor is about position rather than personality.

Yes. The controlling factor is agreement rather than skill: who stays outside the frame, whether the camera lowers during recitation, where a single photographer stands if seating separates. All of that is settled in writing beforehand.

Yes, and they work when each side nominates somebody to call names aloud. We photograph the biggest arrangement first, then release people from it in layers, which stops half an hour turning into ninety minutes.
