What a portrait session with me involves

A portrait session with Kaushik Bathia Photography is a relaxed, guided sitting that turns a real person into a photograph they are proud to use and to hang on the wall. Working from an award-winning natural-light studio on The Broadway in Northwood, and on location across London and Hertfordshire, I create professional headshots, personal-branding portraits, actor and model sittings, graduation portraits, and warm family and newborn images. With 25 years behind the camera, more than 1,200 shoots delivered and a 4.8 rating from 539 Google reviews, the aim is simple: images that look like you on a good day, not stiff or forced.

Portraits suit far more people than most expect. Professionals and business owners book personal-branding sessions for LinkedIn, websites and press; actors and models need a natural, castable headshot; students want a graduation portrait that marks the milestone properly; and families come in for maternity, newborn and multi-generation group shoots. Whatever the reason, the process is the same friendly one, and I coach you through posing and expression so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands.

Being Northwood based, I photograph clients right across the north west of the capital and the Chilterns. Your session

The sitting is calm and guided. I coach posing and expression throughout, so you never feel stuck, and we capture several genuine looks to choose from.

View your images

A short while after the shoot you view your gallery and pick favourites. There is no pressure and no rush to decide on the day.

Retouching

Chosen images are edited with natural, professional retouching that keeps you looking like yourself, then delivered web-ready and print-ready.

Prints and albums

Digital files come as standard, and you can add fine-art prints, framed pieces and albums produced by trusted UK labs for a lasting keepsake.
