A wedding specialism
Asian weddings are a joyous, days-long celebration of family, faith and colour, and they deserve a photographer who understands the rhythm of each ritual. We are completely at home with Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Punjabi, Muslim and Tamil weddings, from the mehndi and sangeet to the baraat, the ceremony and the reception.
With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, we work calmly and unobtrusively across multi-day, multi-venue celebrations, with second photographers available for the largest events. Distance is never a problem. Asian weddings are our speciality, and we travel wherever your celebration takes place.

Every tradition
Each Asian wedding tradition has its own ceremony, setting and sequence of rituals, and we know the order of each by heart. The table below is a quick guide to the celebrations we photograph most, with a link to a dedicated page for every one. Whatever your family keeps, we have photographed it many times.
| Tradition | The ceremony | Usual setting | Signature moments | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hindu | Marriage around the sacred fire, with the pheras and saptapadi at the mandap | Temple, mandap or banqueting hall | Baraat, jaimala, kanyadaan, vidaai | Hindu wedding photography |
| Sikh | The Anand Karaj before the Guru Granth Sahib | Gurdwara | Milni, the four laavan, langar, doli | Sikh wedding photography |
| Gujarati | A Hindu ceremony with distinctive Gujarati customs | Mandap or banqueting hall | Pithi, mandvo, hastamelap, mangal pheras | Hindu and Gujarati |
| Muslim | The nikah, led by an imam | Mosque or banqueting hall | Signing the nikah-nama, mehndi, walima, rukhsati | Muslim wedding photography |
| Tamil | A South Indian ceremony timed to the muhurtham | Temple or kalyana mandapam | Kashi yatra, oonjal, thali tying, saptapadi | Tamil wedding photography |
How we work
An Asian wedding moves quickly and rarely pauses, so we work quietly and stay a step ahead of the day. We read the rhythm of each ceremony, anticipate the rituals, and photograph the sacred moments from a respectful distance while still catching the colour, the dancing and the family moments in between.
We are used to large guest lists and several venues in a single day, and we bring a second photographer for the busiest celebrations so the ceremony and the guests are both fully covered. We photograph Asian weddings right across the country, including Leicester, Birmingham, Croydon, Wembley, Southall and Harrow. For planning, our guides on cost, the wedding timeline and questions to ask your photographer are a good place to start.
