Every wedding, every tradition
Wedding photography with Kaushik Bathia starts from £750 and covers church, civil, register office and multicultural weddings, and single-day and multi-day Hindu, Gujarati, Tamil, Muslim and Sikh celebrations, anywhere in the UK. That runs from the mehndi, the nikah, the Anand Karaj and the muhurtham to the church ceremony, the speeches and the first dance. A second photographer is available for the largest celebrations, every wedding is delivered as an edited digital gallery, and hand-finished albums are an option.
We work calmly and unobtrusively across single-day and multi-day celebrations, and we travel wherever your celebration takes place.

Your wedding is photographed by Kaushik Bathia. He opened the studio on The Broadway in Northwood in 2001 and has photographed weddings for 25 years, alongside portrait and family work. He is a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography (FBIPP) and of the Master Photographers Association (FMPA), and he holds five European Kodak Gold Awards.
On the day, that experience shows up as calm. Ceremonies run late, rain arrives at the wrong moment, a grandparent needs to sit down before the family groups. Kaushik works quietly, anticipates the moments that matter and gives clear, kind direction only when a photograph needs it.
Kaushik is the person you meet at the consultation and the photographer on the day, and a second photographer joins for the largest celebrations. You can read more about Kaushik and the studio.
Kaushik was exceptional at creating our wedding photo album! He designed it so beautifully and his customer service was the best. The album quality and design is amazing, we loved it! Wow what a great job. Highly recommend for photo albums.
Kaushik has created the perfect wedding albums for us to share with our loved ones forever, the family love them and we couldn't have asked for more. Beyond our expectations. A true professional, great communication and an understanding individual throughout the whole process. Thank you!!!
Kaushik is charming and professional, instantly made us feel comfortable and relaxed and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable.
Coverage and booking
We photograph every kind of wedding, of any faith or none. This is how coverage usually shapes up for each.
A register office ceremony is often short and closely timed, so the signing and your first moments as a married couple are photographed first, then a short walk for portraits before lunch or dinner with family. One photographer is usually right for an intimate day. Our guides cover Harrow Register Office, Brent Register Office and Old Marylebone Town Hall, and what a registry office wedding costs.
Many churches set their own rules on photography during the service, such as where the photographer may stand and whether flash is allowed, so we ask in advance and work within them. Then the confetti, the drinks reception, the family groups you have listed, the speeches and the first dance. Civil ceremonies at hotels, country houses, barns and marquees get the same relaxed, unobtrusive approach.
When two traditions come together, perhaps a civil ceremony one day and a religious ceremony the next, each part is planned with you so both families see their customs recorded with equal care. For Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil celebrations in depth, see our Asian wedding photography page.
London weddings bring their own practical questions, and planning them early is what keeps the day relaxed.
For venue facts, our guide to London wedding venues and venue pages such as York House, Syon Park and Kew Gardens set out what each one publishes. For weddings borough by borough, see weddings across London.
Choose your celebration
What you get
Every wedding is photographed to the same standard: relaxed, unobtrusive, storytelling coverage from the morning preparations through to the celebrations of the evening. A typical booking includes a pre-wedding planning meeting, coverage of your ceremony and reception for the hours you choose, careful attention to the family groups and portraits that matter most, and a private online gallery of beautifully edited images to share and download. Fine-art albums are designed by hand once you have chosen your favourites. We keep things flexible rather than boxing you into a rigid package, so tell us the events, hours and extras you would like and we build the coverage around your day.
How long we stay with you is entirely up to you. You might choose full-day coverage that begins with the getting-ready moments and runs through to the first dance, while multi-day Asian and fusion weddings may span the mehndi, sangeet, ceremony and reception across separate dates. You might want a single photographer for an intimate registry-office wedding, or a two-photographer team for a three-day celebration of several hundred guests. Either way, we plan the timeline with you in advance so nothing feels rushed and no key moment is missed. After the wedding, your edited gallery is delivered online, and we help you turn the highlights into hand-finished albums and wall art to keep in the family for generations.
Discuss your coverageWhere we cover
We travel across the whole of the UK for weddings. We are based at our Northwood studio in North West London and cover London, the Home Counties and the wider South East, from Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire to Surrey, Essex and Kent. Beyond the South East we travel to the Midlands, the North of England, Wales and Scotland for couples who want us with them wherever their celebration takes place. Destination and multi-venue weddings are planned in detail beforehand. Travel and timings are agreed in advance so we arrive relaxed and ready, and for weddings further afield, travel from Northwood and any overnight stay are quoted in writing before you book. See our wedding photography in London page, find a wedding photographer in your town in areas we serve, or just get in touch wherever you are.
Couples across North West London and the neighbouring counties are welcome to meet us in person at the Northwood studio before booking. Whether you marry in a church, gurdwara, mandir, mosque, register office, hotel or country house, we plan with you and the venue beforehand how the light will fall and where the key moments will happen. Wherever you are marrying, the coverage, care and quality stay exactly the same.

Good to know
Our own wedding coverage starts from £750. The final figure depends on how many days and events you want covered, whether a second photographer joins for the busiest parts of the day, how far the venues are from the Northwood studio, and whether you add a hand-finished album to the edited digital gallery every wedding includes. A single-day registry-office wedding and a three-day celebration of several hundred guests are different jobs, so we quote the coverage rather than sell a fixed package. Our guide to wedding photographer costs in London breaks the figures down. Tell us your dates and the events you want covered and we will send tailored options.
We photograph Asian weddings, including Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil ceremonies, as well as classic English church, civil and country-house weddings, and fusion or mixed-faith celebrations.
Yes. We are based in Northwood and travel across London, the Home Counties, the Midlands, the North, Wales and Scotland. Travel from Northwood is set out in your written quote before you book, and we plan travel and timings in advance.
Yes. We cover multi-day, multi-venue celebrations, from the mehndi and sangeet to the ceremony and reception, with a second photographer available for the largest events.
Book as soon as your date and venue are confirmed. Popular and auspicious dates, especially summer weekends, often go a year or more ahead, but shorter notice is always worth asking about. Tell us your date and we will confirm availability straight away.
Yes. Alongside your edited digital gallery we design hand-finished, fine-art albums, so the whole story of your day is held in an heirloom to pass down.
Yes. We photograph classic English weddings in churches, registry offices, country houses, barns and marquees, captured naturally from the morning preparations to the last dance.
A typical booking includes a pre-wedding planning meeting, relaxed storytelling coverage of your ceremony and reception, the family groups and portraits that matter to you, and a private online gallery of edited images.
That is entirely up to you. You might choose full-day coverage from the getting-ready moments to the first dance, while multi-day Asian and fusion celebrations span several events across separate dates. We agree the timeline with you in advance so nothing feels rushed and no key moment is missed.
Our studio is at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU, on the border of North West London and Hertfordshire, close to Harrow, Watford, Ruislip and Pinner. Couples nearby are welcome to meet us there before booking. For the wedding itself we travel anywhere in the UK, with travel costs set out in writing before you book.
Short coverage, such as a register office ceremony followed by portraits and a family meal, is quoted on the hours and events you need rather than sold as a fixed package. Our wedding photography starts from £750, and every booking includes an edited online gallery. Tell us your date, venue and timings and we will send you a written quote.
The photographs are what you keep once the day is over, and a wedding gives no second chances at the vows, the first kiss or a grandparent's blessing. A professional plans the timings, works with the light and the venue's rules, and delivers an edited gallery and albums made to last. Ask to see sample albums at your consultation.
